What are Note Cards?
Note cards (also referred to as Correspondence cards) are one of our most popular products. Each one is beautifully designed and printed on high-quality luxury 400gsm board; but it is not just the stunning illustrations, wide font and font choices that keep our customers coming back to purchase our note cards but also the fact that they are so versatile.
Our passion for stationery means that we ensure that all our products are perfect additions to our customer’s stationery sets. Note cards are flat and feature the sender’s contact details along either with an illustration or ones contact details at the top (known as a ‘classic’ layout), means that they can be used for a variety of different occasions. Some of the most common uses for our note cards are:
Thank you cards
Often thank you cards are needed at short notice, which is why it is useful to have our note cards on hand. There is lots of space on these cards for you to write a personal thank you message, whether it is for an unexpected gift from a friend or a family member helping you out in a sudden crisis. Quickly responding with a thank you card is generally more appreciated than a text message or email, mainly because it shows that you value their gift or help and have taken a moment to write.
There are times when you are holding a small, informal party that does not require formal invites, in these cases note cards are the perfect stand-in invitations. Although an informal style of invitation, these cards still hold the luxury and style of a formal invite, which helps to set the scene for your party. As well as this, our note cards are ideal to have within your stationery set in case you suddenly need to send an invite at the last minute should you have run out of ‘At Home’ cards.
Close friends and family often prefer to receive important news through a more intimate correspondence than email or social media. Note cards are the ideal way to let those close to you know about important events, such as the birth of a child or a recent engagement. With their luxurious feel and stunning illustrations, they offer just the right combination of formal notice and personal correspondence.
It is common to receive invitations suddenly, in which case you often need to have handy acceptance or rejection cards ready to send. The versatility of our note cards means that they are the perfect replies, with ample space for a message of impending excitement at the event or to apologise if you are having to decline.
When you want to send a short and easy correspondence, a note card is the perfect option. Whilst there is space on the front of the card for your message, there is also the option of carrying on the message on the *back of the card, which is completely blank excepting our soft grey watermark at the bottom. With the additional opportunity of choosing a personal illustration on the front, our note cards are a high quality version of a postcard (A postcard doesn’t have an envelope and therefore the correspondence written is less personal) and, as such, offer a more stylish and formal form of correspondence than sending a postcard.
*Should I write on the back of a Note card?
We are most aware that some guides dissuade one from writing on the back as a matter of etiquette; yet how you interpret this is as personal as the cards we produce for you, but in our view the hand written missive, even when carrying over to the reverse, is the reason for writing so we feel this is absolutely fine.
